Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. The future is bright at Edwardsburg Public Schools despite the challenges we faced this past year. With Pride, Passion, and Purpose, our Eddies have persevered though this pandemic. The resiliency and determination of our students, families, and community will continue to guide the district forward to even greater accomplishments. Our mission statement, Edwardsburg Public Schools will maximize all EDDIES’ potential to be successful in life, will continue to be our focus.
At Edwardsburg Public Schools, we remain committed to providing educational excellence to all of our students. Our district continues to expand instructional offerings for students. Instructional programs offered by the district at the elementary level include Gender Specific, Multi-Age, Looping, Traditional Classroom settings, as well as the Great Start Readiness Program offered through Heritage Southwest ISD. At the secondary level, the district provides Dual-Enrollment through Southwestern Michigan College and Indiana University of South Bend, Berrien Math and Science Center at Andrews University, Middle College options with the potential to earn an Associate’s degree, Early College Online classes, Advanced Placement classes, and the Elkhart Area Career Center. Students have access to dedicated, and highly qualified, instructional staff; all of which makes Edwardsburg Public Schools the district of choice in Southwestern Michigan.
Edwardsburg Public Schools has earned International Accreditation through the AdvancED Accreditation Commission and School Improvement. The Intermediate School has been recognized as a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education while Eagle Lake Elementary is a 2018 recipient. All of our Buildings have also earned Blue Ribbon recognition by the Michigan Department of Education. Edwardsburg High School is a Bronze Award recipient for Best High Schools by US News and World Report for the seventh year.
Edwardsburg Public Schools is fortunate to have a strong base of support from the community, parents, businesses, faith based groups, and civic organizations, who devote time, talent, and resources to ensure that our students have an excellent educational experience.
At Edwardsburg Public Schools, we are committed to the success of every child, every day. As Thomas Payne stated, “The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.” Though these past months have been difficult, we are confident that the 2021-2022 school year will be glorious!
