Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! Tuesday, September 6, 2022, will be the
first day of school for students. We are looking forward to another great year. It has
been a busy summer as our custodial, technology, and support staff have worked
diligently to prepare the buildings and grounds for our staff and students this fall. I
want to take this opportunity to say thank you and express my gratitude to our
Edwardsburg community for taking the time to vote in the Edwardsburg Public
Schools Bond Initiative. Our Administrative team, along with TowerPinkster and
Skillman, will meet to discuss potential future alternatives. You can expect to see a
proposal soon. At this time, many of the more expensive and involved district
improvements will go untouched without the necessary funding and resources.
As we start the new year, I encourage you to monitor the Edwardsburg Public
Schools website and Facebook page for updates on COVID-19 requirements for the
district. As of today, we will start the year as we ended 2021-2022, in a face-to-face
format with contact tracing where or when required.
Finally, we are committed to preparing our Eddies for life-long success by providing
diverse, high-quality educational opportunities. At every building level, we offer a
variety of instructional programs and students have access to highly trained
administrators, educators, and support staff. These opportunities make Edwardsburg
Public Schools the district of choice in Southwestern Michigan. As always, we
believe the door to the future begins at Edwardsburg Public Schools. Eddie Pride
can be seen in the continual achievements of our school district, and the passion for
the opportunities provided to every student.
Believe in yourself, and believe in those around you. As Mark Twain said, “Stay
away from those people who try to disparage your ambitions. Small minds will
always do that, but great minds will give you a feeling that you can become great
too.”
Have a great year Eddies!
James A. Knoll, Ed. S.
