Good Evening Eddie Families and Staff,

Due to the Heat Advisory and temperatures expected to peak tomorrow afternoon, Edwardsburg Public Schools will have a half day of school tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2, 2026 for students and staff.

This evening, temperature readings in some of our non-air-conditioned buildings were already between 85 and 90 degrees. While we expect to be able to cool the buildings down overnight, temperatures are forecast to rise again throughout the day. We anticipate that classrooms, along with school buses, could become very warm by the afternoon.

Out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of our students and staff in mind, we believe a half day is the best course of action.

We apologize for any inconvenience this schedule change may cause and appreciate your understanding. We are looking forward to cooler temperatures in the days ahead.
