AAA Program
The Triple A Program has been recognized at the state and national level. This program provides incentives designed to acknowledge students’ achievements in the areas of Academics, Attendance and Attitude.

Reading Renaissance

The Reading Renaissance program encourages student reading practice both in school and at home. Students challenge themselves to read well and to become well read.

Student-Led Conferences
Students develop portfolios and oral presentations designed to share their academic achievements with their parents within a formal conference setting.

Student Planners
Planners, which include the Student Code of Conduct, are provided for all students during the first week of school. They are designed to improve student organization, record daily assignments, and encourage communication between school and home.

Science Olympiad
Students throughout Cass County travel to Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac, Michigan to compete in various hands-on Science activities.

Science Fair
Student project entries are judged and on display for students, staff and the community to view.

Fine Arts Festival
Students perform vocal music, recorder and band selections for parents, while class projects and student artwork is on display for viewing throughout the building.

Math-A-Rama
Fifteen students from each grade level participate in a day full of mathematical challenges involving calculators, problem solving, estimation, geometry and a scavenger hunt. This county-wide event takes place at Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac, Michigan.

Young Writers’ Day
Students spend a day at Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac, Michigan attending workshops and interacting with illustrators, writers and storytellers.

Field Day
Classrooms compete against each other in various activities including a water relay, three-legged race and tug-of-war during this annual end-of-year event.

Field Trips
Classrooms travel to area businesses and events, to emphasize topics being learned within the curriculum.

Music Concerts
Each grade level presents an evening concert of the music learned within their classes.
