Accreditation

North Central Association of Colleges and Schools:

On April 9, 2002 a review committee of the North Central Association (NCA) recommended Edwardsburg Intermediate School for membership. To become an NCA member, Edwardsburg Intermediate demonstrated its ability to meet or exceed the standards and requirements for accreditation as established by North Central.

Outcomes Accreditations:

Edwardsburg Intermediate School achieved Outcomes Accreditation through the North Central Association during the 2002-03 school year. This five-year process was initiated in 1999 while 4-5 grades were locatred at Eagle Lake Elementary. Furthermore, the 2003-04 annual report submitted to the NCA Central Reviewing Committee for review found Edwardsburg Intermediate School to have no violation of standards.

Edwardsburg Intermediate School 2007-2008 Educational Plan:

  • To successfully transition into two-person teaching teams.

  • To continue to emphasize and improve MEAP Writing results.

  • To further expand the utilization of data driven decision-making in developing differentiated instructional strategies within each classroom.

  • To continue to utilize the Target Area interventions established through the NCA / School Improvement and Performance Accreditation process.
