Accreditation/Building Goals

In 1995-96, the State of Michigan instituted new accreditation standards, based primarily on the results of the MEAP Testing results. Since these tests are administered to students in 4th and 5th grades, the Eagle Lake accreditation is the same as Edwardsburg Intermediate School who has presently achieved Interim Accreditation Status.

The Eagle Lake School has joined the North Central Association. We have met or exceeded their standards and are accredited by the North Central Association. Eagle Lake School is also working towards outcomes Accreditation through the North Central Association. The process was started in 1997 and on April 2, 1999 a review committee approved Outcomes Endorsement Goals for Eagle Lake School, and the Primary School.

The "New" Eagle Lake School will combine the goals approved for these two schools and continue working towards their achievement.
